Now that we’ve had time to hang up our swimsuits and pick the gel out of our hair, we’re pleased to announce that the University of Toronto synchro club had a fantastic showing at the Canadian University Synchro Swim League National Meet in Montreal, Québec. We want to first extend a sincere thank you to McGill Synchro who hosted and the staff at the Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic Centre who put up with over 200 synchro swimmers over 2 days.
Overall, we are proud to say that U of T placed 4th overall out of 19 participating universities. We had a small but mighty group this season and placed in each of our events. Here are the detailed results:
Novice Solo – Allison Jandura: Gold
Solo – Angela Zhou: Bronze
Duet – Nicola Chaddock and Christa Plumley: 5th place (out of a staggering 21 duets!)
Novice Team: 5th place
Congratulations to all of our swimmers on their results and to McGill synchro for pulling off the biggest meet of our season. This isn’t the end for us yet! Look out for a blog post on our upcoming water show, taking place April 2nd from 3:30-5pm at the U of T Athletic Centre Pool. For more details check out our Facebook page! See you then!
